Prayer for Protection from the Wicked.

Heb Nehiloth
flute accompaniment. A Psalm of David.

1 bListen to my words, Lord,
Consider my csighing.
2 Listen to dthe sound of my cry for help, emy King and my God,
For to You I pray.
3 In the morning, Lord,
Or May You hear
You will hear my voice;
In the gmorning I will present my
Or sacrifice
prayer to You and be on the iwatch.

4 For You are not a God jwho takes pleasure in wickedness;
kNo evil can dwell with You.
5 The lboastful will not mstand before Your eyes;
You nhate all who do injustice.
6 You odestroy those who speak lies;
The Lord loathes pthe person of bloodshed and deceit.
7 But as for me, qby Your abundant graciousness I will enter Your house,
Or Toward
At Your holy temple I will sbow in treverence for You.

8 Lord, ulead me vin Your righteousness wbecause of my enemies;
Make Your way
Or smooth
straight before me.
9 For there is ynothing
Or true
trustworthy in
So ancient versions; MT his
their mouth;
Their abinward part is destruction itself.
Their acthroat is an open grave;
They
Or make their tongue smooth
flatter with their tongue.
10 Make them pay, God;
aeHave them fall by their own schemes!
afScatter them in the multitude of their wrongdoings,
For they are agrebellious against You.

11 But ahrejoice, all who aitake refuge in You,
Sing for joy forever!
And
Or You shelter
may You akshelter them,
That those who allove Your name may rejoice in You.
12 For You ambless the righteous person, Lord,
You ansurround him with favor as with a shield.
